ROSANNA C. LOPEZ

Ms. Lopez specializes in employment law.  Ms. Lopez has obtained hundreds of thousands of dollars in recovery or settlements from employers throughout her career. Ms. Lopez is a tenacious litigator and negotiator, as evidenced by her ability to obtain six-figure settlements from the private sector and the government. 

She counsels and advises individuals and companies on a wide variety of personnel-related issues, including discrimination and harassment; retaliation; leave and reasonable accommodation under FMLA and ADA; promotion, discipline and termination issues; contract and severance negotiation; compliance with wage and hour laws; non competition agreements, and constitutional civil rights. Ms. Lopez previously practiced employment law in Maryland and Washington, D.C., before deciding to focus serving the clients in Virginia. 

Ms. Lopez is a native of Northern Virginia. She is fluent in Spanish. She received her Juris Doctor from Syracuse University College of Law in 1999. 

Ms. Lopez is admitted to the bar of the State of Virginia and Colorado, as well as the Eastern and Western Districts of Virginia and the Supreme Courts of Virginia and Colorado.

Ms. Lopez served two years as Chair for the Employment Law Section of the Montgomery County Bar Association. She is also a member of the Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association and Fairfax County Bar Association.

KENNETH C. WU

Mr. Wu graduated from Washington University School of Law in May 2003 where he served as the Editor-in-Chief of the Global Studies Law Review.  Prior to co-founding Lopez & Wu, PLLC, Mr. Wu specialized in representing federal employees at the internationally recognized law firm of Passman & Kaplan.  Mr. Wu has years of experience representing federal employees in discrimination cases at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”) and appeals at the Merit Systems Protection Board.  Mr. Wu has also developed an expertise litigating private sector employment cases in federal court. 

During law school, Mr. Wu interned for EEOC Vice Chair Paul Igasaki, where he reviewed federal and private sector cases involving race, sex, disability, and age discrimination.  Mr. Wu also worked as a law clerk at Vladeck, Waldman, Elias & Engelhard in New York City, where he also specialized in employment discrimination law. 

Mr. Wu is from Illinois and graduated from Northwestern University where he majored in Molecular Biology and minored in Art History. Before law school, Mr. Wu worked as a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.
